Daniel Bryan was forced to retire due to complications from repeated injuries in February 2016. Bryan has made it no secret that he desires a return to the ring and has been continuously working hard to do so.
In a recent interview with a mainstream media outlet, Bryan has been reported as saying, “I assume that, if I don’t wrestling by WrestleMania, I probably won’t be wrestling with WWE at all, that is my assumption.”
“It’s not a black and white answer,” Daniel Bryan continued, “There are a lot of issues with me getting cleared by WWE. They have a very strict protocol, which is a good thing, but the timeline of all that happening was not the best for me. It’s an interesting situation that will develop.”
These statements, coupled the current storyline with Shane McMahon on Smackdown Live has added renewed vigor to the speculation of whether Daniel Bryan will return to a WWE ring or will he seek other pastures once his contract expires. Either way, come WrestleMania, we will know the answer.
