James Storm is leaving Impact Wrestling after 15 years, having been with the company since its inception in 2002 when it was Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
While standing in the ring at Impact’s TV tappings in Ottawa, Canada, Storm gave a farewell speech in which he not only thanks the fans and his family but Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter and Bob Ryder as well.
Storm is a 16 time champion having held both the NWA World Tag Team Championships and the TNA World Tag Team Championships 7 times a piece, TNA World Heavyweight Championship once and TNA King of the Mountain Championship once.
During his tenure with Impact Wrestling, Storm was a member of two of the most memorable tag teams in current history, ‘America’s Most Wanted’ with Chris Harris and ‘Beer Money, Inc’ with Bobby Roode.
It has been reported that Storms’ contract is up in January 2018 and that there are several factors as to why he’s not currently resigning with the company.
