Kurt Angle announced on last night’s RAW that Jason Jordan’s recent neck surgery will definitely keep him from appearing at WrestleMania. While this was already suspected, WWE had held off on making this official until after the surgery had been performed. The expected timetable for Jordan’s recovery is not yet known.
Angle also announced that Ronda Rousey will be appearing in a segment at the Elimination Chamber PPV where she will sign her WWE contract to be part of the RAW brand. AJ Styles spoke to TMZ earlier this week and on the subject of Rousey, he had said:
“You put her up against Charlotte Flair, she’s going to have an unbelievable match. You put in there with Asuka, you’re going to have an unbelievable match. Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks. I mean we got tons of people, ladies, that you can throw her in there — women’s revolution, are you kidding me? Throw her in there with anybody.”
The opening match of RAW saw The Miz lose to John Cena, making Miz the first entrant into the Elimination Chamber match. We already knew from last week that Elias will be the final participant released into the match and now we have learned that the men’s Chamber match will be the first in history to involve seven participants. RAW ended with Seth Rollins and Finn Balor arguing over which of them had won a Fatal Five Way match to earn entry into the match, with Kurt Angle adding them both in a video on WWE’s Facebook page:
