UK promotion Pro Wrestling EVE has announced that co-promoter Emily Read will be a guest speaker at a charity event by BelEve, a charity who empower young women to become leaders.
BelEve’s first Out The Box Girls’ Festival will raise funds for the charity and aims to let every woman know there is a leader within her and that within her world, anything is possible.
On speaking at the event, Pro Wrestling Eve co-promoter, Emily Read, told Total Wrestling Magazine: “I am so proud to be working with BelEve – they are an amazing charity who focus their work on helping young women to hold onto their self belief, to embrace their unique power and to become the leaders of tomorrow.
“We’re such big supporters of their work; they are helping to make a group of strong women who will be able to go out into the world confident women and therefore less susceptible to gaslighting and mental abuse. These women will not need to waste years trying to rebuild the self worth they lost at such a young age. Their work is truly a game changer.
“BelEve work with women aged 8 – 18 and I’m going to be speaking with them about being a woman working in a male dominated field and also on a more personal level about my mental health and how it has affected my life. I feel is so important to speak openly about mental health as I feel it’s the only way to end the shame and stop the stigma.”
The event takes place on Thursday 15 February 2018 at Peckham Levels from 4pm – 8pm.
