Following the success of the Cruiserweight Classic and the United Kingdom tournament, the WWE have announced their third venture into the world of outside-competition.
This Summer, 32 female competitors from around the world are set to participate in a tournament that will air exclusively on the WWE Network.
Rumours had been circulating regarding the plans for over a year but they have only recently been confirmed at a presentation held at a ‘business partner summit’ in Orlando entitled ‘WWE Reimagined’.
At the event were Raw Women’s champion Bayley, SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and NXT Women’s Champion Asuka, as the three leading females were joined by power couple Triple H (Executive Vice President) and Stephanie McMahon (Chief Branding Officer) to reveal the news.
Divas Revolution. Women’s Evolution.
And this summer, 32 women from 17 countries compete in a tournament of their own ONLY on @WWENetwork.
